The Indonesian government said earlier that Tokopedia, Shopee under the Sea Group, Lazada and Blibli invested by Ali have been designated as tax collection agencies. The State Administration of Taxation stated in an announcement that it will revoke the qualifications of the designated collection agencies for these four e-commerce platforms and resume the selection process in the future. In response, IDEA, the Indonesian e-commerce industry association, said on Wednesday that major e-commerce platforms have been making preparations to ensure that the tax policy can be implemented more smoothly when it is finally implemented.
