According to SINOVAC's official WeChat account, on August 6, the freeze-dried human rabies vaccine developed by Kexing Biological Products Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Beijing Kexing Holdings Co., Ltd. obtained a “Drug Registration Certificate” issued by the State Drug Administration. The vaccine was developed based on a serum-free, animal-free process, and was also approved for the “5-dose” and “simple 4-dose” immunization procedures, making it the first serum-free rabies vaccine in China that complies with the simple 4-dose method recommended by WHO.
