From what we can see, insiders were net buyers in Akwaaba Mining Ltd.'s (CVE:AML ) during the past 12 months. That is, insiders acquired the stock in greater numbers than they sold it.

Although we don't think shareholders should simply follow insider transactions, logic dictates you should pay some attention to whether insiders are buying or selling shares.

Akwaaba Mining Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

The Chairman & CEO Allan Green made the biggest insider purchase in the last 12 months. That single transaction was for CA$340k worth of shares at a price of CA$0.13 each. That means that an insider was happy to buy shares at around the current price of CA$0.14. While their view may have changed since the purchase was made, this does at least suggest they have had confidence in the company's future. We do always like to see insider buying, but it is worth noting if those purchases were made at well below today's share price, as the discount to value may have narrowed with the rising price. In this case we're pleased to report that the insider bought shares at close to current prices. The only individual insider to buy over the last year was Allan Green.
