06:28 AM EDT, 08/05/2026 (MT Newswires) -- FAB Securities maintained its hold rating on Mashreq Bank (DFM:MASQ), with a price target of 270 Emirati dirhams, after it took note of the lender's second-quarter results, according to a Tuesday note. The bank logged a 25.7% yearly increase in its net profit to 2.07 billion dirhams, which surpassed FAB's 1.75 billion-dirham forecast. Meanwhile, total operating income rose 10.9% annually to 3.4 billion dirhams, against the research firm's estimate of 3.23 billion dirhams. "MASQ delivered a strong set of 2Q26 results, with net profit increasing 25.7% YOY to AED 2.1 Bn, primarily driven by higher funded income, stronger income from investment securities and other operating income, together with a reversal in impairment charges," analysts wrote. "While we remain constructive on the Bank's strong balance sheet, resilient funding profile, solid capital position and healthy profitability, we believe these positives are largely reflected in the current valuation."
