Recently, Unit 2 of the Sichuan Energy Investment Deyang Gas Power Generation Project, led by the Southwest China Energy Construction Institute, completed 168-hour trial operation at full load, marking the full completion and commissioning of the project. The project is located in Zhongjiang County, Deyang City. It includes two advanced “one to one” single-shaft gas-steam combined cycle units. It uses the world's most advanced 9H high-efficiency combustion engines, with a combined cycle efficiency of 63.58%, and is simultaneously equipped with a flue gas denitrification device. The project is a clean energy power generation project focusing on peak shifting. It strives to build a modern smart power plant with “low energy consumption, low emissions, and high efficiency”. The design has an annual power generation capacity of about 3,545 million kilowatt-hours, which can power about 1.05 million households. Compared with 660 megawatt coal-fired units, it can save about 330,000 tons of standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 1.69 million tons throughout the year.
