The Zhitong Finance App learned that PV stocks continued to rise. As of press release, Xinyi Solar (00968) rose 6.59% to HK$2.345; GCL Technology (03800) rose 5.74% to HK$0.645; Xinte Energy (01799) rose 3.61% to HK$4.02; Follett Glass (06865) rose 2.16% to HK$7.1.

According to the news, on July 31, the General Administration of Market Regulation launched price compliance guidance for the photovoltaic industry in Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province, to thoroughly rectify “internal rolling” competition, promote the transformation of photovoltaic companies from “price competition” to “quality competition”, and promote the high-quality development of the photovoltaic industry. The General Administration of Market Regulation emphasizes that photovoltaic companies should fully understand the current industry development situation, take the initiative to strengthen cost accounting management, establish and improve price compliance systems, carry out comprehensive self-inspection and self-examination, establish the concept of compliant management and rational competition, resist vicious low price competition, and maintain market price order.

Huatai Securities previously stated that the specific rules of the three mandatory national standards for the photovoltaic industry have been made public. Among them, the energy consumption level requirements of silicon materials exceeded expectations. The bank pointed out that the issuance of the mandatory national standard means that the rigid entry threshold for the four main chain links of silicon, silicon wafers, batteries, and modules will be raised. It reiterated that it is optimistic that the year-on-year pressure on the demand side of 2H26 photovoltaics will ease, and that mandatory national standard measures will accelerate supply side clearance in '27.
