Hyundai and Kia said that Europe sold a total of 131,032 electric vehicles in the first half of 2026, a sharp increase of 41.8% over 92,365 vehicles in the first half of 2026. The two companies expect that if the current sales rate continues until the end of the year, the annual sales volume of electric vehicles in Europe will exceed 200,000 units for the first time since entering the European electric vehicle market in 2014. As of May of this year, their cumulative sales volume of electric vehicles in Europe has surpassed the 1 million mark.
