According to the Anhui Provincial Science and Technology Department, according to the “China Unicorn Enterprise Research Report 2026” and “China Potential Unicorn Enterprise Research Report 2026” issued by Great Wall Strategy Consulting, the number of unicorn enterprises in Anhui Province increased to 19 and the number of potential unicorn enterprises to 44 in 2025, all ranking 6th in the country. 94.7% of unicorn enterprises and 84.1% of potential unicorn enterprises in the province have received investment from provincial government guidance funds, forming a “precise attraction+local cultivation” two-wheel drive cultivation path. Looking at enterprise sources, 37 unicorn companies stemmed from external recruitment, accounting for 58.7%. Of these, nearly 90% were science and technology innovation seed companies when introduced, and were later promoted through local cultivation. Among the unicorn enterprises cultivated locally, 10 stemmed from the incubation and fission of large enterprises, 8 stemmed from the transformation of achievements of universities and colleges, and 8 stemmed from the entrepreneurship of high-level talent teams.
