Developer SL Green is transforming the 35-story office building into around 600 new apartments, equipped with a party room, sun terrace, and screening room. Earlier this month, Pfizer's old headquarters almost partially collapsed. Since then, this is the third “business to housing” project to be suspended. This month, city officials also issued a partial shutdown order on a renovation project at 77 Water Street in Manhattan's financial district, but the ban was lifted a few days later.
