The Zhitong Finance App learned that on Tuesday, the stock price of Boeing (BA.US) opened and rose. As of press release, it had risen by nearly 5%. According to the news, Boeing announced its second quarter results report. Revenue for the second quarter reached 24.6 billion US dollars, up 8.4% year on year, exceeding expectations of 330 million US dollars. With continued strong market demand for its aircraft, the company generated more than expected cash flow in the second quarter, with free cash flow of $631 million, beating the net outflow of $331 million expected by analysts. Boeing said that the results mainly reflect an increase in commercial aircraft deliveries and favorable changes in working capital during the year. By the end of the quarter, the company's total backlog of orders had risen to a record $715 billion.

However, this positive cash surprise was overshadowed by the additional $280 million in fees for the Air Force One (Air Force One) project. The project is many years behind schedule and has overspent billions of dollars. Boeing said that after sending additional engineering and quality personnel to support production and making investments related to airworthiness certification, the company had the latest cost overrun on the Presidential Jet 747 giant jet project.
