On July 27, the General Office of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Equipment Industry Division I organized a media symposium to report on the situation of promoting key automobile companies to shorten supplier billing periods, and invited 20 central media, financial media and relevant industry media reporters to serve as the first batch of “automobile industry account period supervisors”. The conference pointed out that a small number of car companies still have problems with disguised account extensions, such as delays in calculation time and irregular process management, and further supervision and improvements are needed. In the next step, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, together with relevant departments, will expedite the preparation and publication of regulatory guidelines for automobile companies' supplier payments, step up supervision and rectification of car companies that have been disguised to extend account periods, step up supervision and enforcement of suspected violations of the law, and effectively safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of supply chain enterprises, especially small and medium-sized enterprises.
