The General Office of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government issued the “Shanghai Implementation Plan for the Construction of the Yangtze River Delta High Quality Development Pilot Zone for Inland Waterway Shipping and Inland Water Transport System Connectivity Project”. Among them, it is proposed to strive to meet the standard mileage of Level 3 and above waterways to reach 280 kilometers and build a number of intensive inland waterway public port areas; the direct container river and sea access channel at Shanghai Port will be expanded and upgraded, and the domestic waterway collection and evacuation ratio of containers will reach 35%; the level of greening and intelligence of inland waterway shipping will be significantly improved to form an integrated intermodal transport network between rivers and rivers, and achieve large-scale development of waterway tourist passenger transport.
