Destini bags RM45.6mil rail maintenance job

PETALING JAYA: Destini Bhd has been awarded a contract by Railway Assets Corp to undertake Level 1 and Level 2 (L1-L2) maintenance, repair and overhaul services for 13 Class 61 Diesel Multiple Units train sets worth RM45.58mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said the 24-month contract will run from Sept 1, 2026 to Aug 31, 2028. Destini said the contract was secured by its 70%-owned subsidiary, M Rail Technics Sdn Bhd (Railtec).

“This landmark award completes Railtec’s full-spectrum L1 to L4 rail maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) capability, covering the entire railway asset lifecycle – from critical daily operational maintenance to deep-tier heavy overhauls.”

With the addition of L1-L2 capabilities from this contract, Destini said Railtec now possesses end-to-end capabilities across all four levels of the MRO value chain
