We learned from the National Energy Administration that China will promote increased coalbed methane storage and production in the eastern region of the Ordos Basin in terms of classification and resource exploration and gradual promotion of production capacity construction. By 2030, proven geological reserves in the Edong region will increase by more than 600 billion cubic meters compared to the end of the 14th Five-Year Plan, with coalbed methane production of 18 billion cubic meters, of which deep coalbed methane production is more than 16 billion cubic meters. It provides strong support for the construction of a new energy system.
