There were many people in distress on the raft. The rescue was immediately launched, and all 29 people on the raft were successfully rescued. According to information, their ship sank in distress on the 24th and drifted here on a life raft. There were 62 Vietnamese people on board at the time of distress. The South China Sea Rescue Bureau has successively dispatched additional rescue boats and rescue helicopters to carry out reinforcements. Up to now, the Chinese rescue forces have successfully rescued 47 people in distress. Yesterday, the “South China Sea Rescue 115” ship, which acted as a command ship for on-site search and rescue, transferred 41 rescued personnel to a Vietnamese ship. This morning, the rescue helicopter “B-72CT” transferred 6 rescued people to Vietnamese ships in two batches. Various forces at the scene, including the “South China Sea Rescue 115” ship and the “South China Sea Rescue 113” ship, are still carrying out search and rescue work.
