Yemen's Houthis issued a statement today saying that in response to Saudi air raids on the city of Hodeidah, the port of Hodeidah, and Kamalan Island, the Houthis launched two military operations on the same day. The statement said that the first operation used dozens of ballistic missiles and drones to attack Saudi Aramco's “sensitive targets” in Jizan, Saudi Arabia; the second operation used ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones to attack Saudi Aramco's “sensitive targets” in Yanbu. The statement said that both actions “successfully achieved the intended goals” and resulted in “accurate and direct hits.” The statement accuses Saudi Arabia of continuing to impose a blockade on Yemen and infringe on Yemeni sovereignty, saying that the Houthis will continue to take action to respond, and that the maritime blockade against Saudi Arabia will continue, and further expansion of operations and escalation measures is not ruled out as the situation develops in the next few hours and days.
