The US imposed new sanctions on Iranian financier Babak Zanjani's network, increasing economic pressure on Tehran at a time when President Donald Trump threatened to launch a “large-scale attack” if Iran did not return to the negotiating table. The US Treasury Department announced on Friday the imposition of new punitive measures against four individuals and nine entities linked to Zanjani's evasion of sanctions networks. The targets on the sanctions list include entities associated with their digital asset trading platforms, as well as the respective managers and executives of those platforms.
