Today, the world's first 100 kilowatt bamboo based offshore photovoltaic platform “Jilin-2” was completed in Yantai, Shandong. The main structure of the platform uses bamboo wrapped pipes and “sea bamboo tubes” as core support components. Bamboo wrapped pipes and “sea bamboo tubes” surpass traditional wood-based composites in terms of comprehensive mechanical properties, and have advantages such as high strength, corrosion resistance, and regeneration. The platform will be installed at the offshore photovoltaic empirical testing base in Yantai, Shandong to provide green electricity for the offshore energy island hydroammonia alcohol demonstration project.
