11:31 PM EDT, 07/20/2026 (MT Newswires) -- IP Group's (IPO.L) board on Monday unanimously rejected the latest revised takeover proposal from Railways Pension Trustee Co., or Railpen. The intellectual property commercialization company's board and advisers concluded that the latest revised proposal continues to undervalue the company significantly. Railpen made the latest proposal on July 15, offering 0.61 pound per share in cash for each share, a pro rata distribution of the company's entire stake in Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT.L), and a potential contingent payment linked to its Metsera holding. Based on Oxford Nanopore's July 17 closing price, the proposal implied a value of 0.713 pound per IP Group share, excluding the value of the contingent value right.
