The Zhitong Finance App learned that in response to reports that SpaceX (SPCX.US) ordered an Nvidia (NVDA.US) AI server worth about 52 billion US dollars from Foxconn, SpaceX CEO Musk denied it on social platforms on Monday, bluntly stating that the relevant news was “fake news.”

Earlier, media reports said that Foxconn's parent company Hon Hai Precision has received an order for a new generation of AI servers from SpaceX, and SpaceX plans to deploy more than 13,000 server cabinets based on the Nvidia GB300 platform. The report estimates that if you calculate about 4 million US dollars per cabinet, the order value is close to 52 billion US dollars. However, this figure is not a contract amount, but rather a theoretical scale based on estimating the cost of a single cabinet.

As of press release, neither Hon Hai nor Nvidia have commented on the relevant reports.

Citrini analyst Jukan previously published an article saying that Hon Hai has broken the dual monopoly of Dell (DELL.US) and ultra-microcomputer (SMCI.US) in the field of AI server foundry and has received an order to manufacture the next GB300 AI server from SpaceX for the first time.

Jukan also said that the order has not been reflected in Hon Hai's current performance guidelines, which means that the growth momentum of the company's AI business may far exceed market expectations. Coupled with the strong performance of its subsidiary Wealth Federation of Industries (FII), the market's expectations for Hon Hai's performance in the second half of the year have clearly heated up.

Affected by related news, SpaceX's US stock rose about 1% before the market on Monday, but all gains were erased after opening, and are now down 1.77%. As Musk publicly denied the truth of the report, the market also began to re-evaluate the credibility of the rumor.
