Recently, the European Commission issued an announcement stating that it has initiated an anti-dumping investigation against solid glass beads originating in China in response to applications submitted by nine EU solid glass microsphere manufacturers on June 2, 2026. The products involved are solid glass beads with a diameter of not more than 2 mm. The surface is coated or not, regardless of the intended use or production process, involving EU CN codes ex 7018 10 90, ex 7018 20 00, and ex 7018 90 90 90. Small, perforated spherical “glass beads” under CN codes 7018 10 11 and 7018 10 19 are not included. The dumping investigation period in this case is from April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026, and the damage investigation period is from January 1, 2022 to the end of the dumping investigation period.
