HuggingFace, the world's largest open source AI community, revealed that its server was recently hacked by a hacker AI agent. After the incident occurred, the HuggingFace security team initially tried to analyze more than 17,000 attack-related logs using a major commercial model API in the US. However, since the model was unable to accurately distinguish incident responders from attackers, its security mechanisms misjudged related requests and denied support. HuggingFace instead deployed China's GLM5.2 open source model on its own infrastructure to successfully conduct forensic analysis of massive logs.
