06:01 AM EDT, 07/17/2026 (MT Newswires) -- French hospitality group Accor (AC.PA) appointed a law firm to investigate allegations of conflicts of interest and favoritism involving Chief Executive Sébastien Bazin, the London Financial Times reported Friday, citing sources. The investigation, which Bazin requested after the board received an anonymous document detailing the claims, found the allegations were without merit, the report said. The probe examined Accor's dealings with Paris Society, owned by Bazin's associate Laurent de Gourcuff, as well as allegations of favoritism in the hiring of a senior female executive, the sources told the publication. Accor did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires. (Market Chatter news is derived from conversations with market professionals globally.
