On July 16, local time, Immena announced that three new member companies have been added to the “One Billion Cell Map” alliance, including Formation Bio, an artificial intelligence native drug development company. The map was launched in January 2026, and founding participants include AstraZeneca, Merck of America, and Eli Lilly. The map can help users discover and validate new targets, characterize drug mechanisms of action and disease pathogenesis, and explore potential new indications. To date, the project has sequenced more than 350 million cells and generated more than 6 PB of genomic data.
