A federal jury in Texas in the US ruled on Thursday that Kioxia infringed a Wiasat flash memory-related patent and was required to pay compensation of US$229 million to the latter. A US federal district court jury for the Western District of Texas found that Kioxia infringed Wiasat's US patent number 8,615,700. The judgment stated that the $229,025,021 compensation metal was an ongoing license fee and was only used to cover Kioxia's past infringement losses up to March 30, 2026.
