XP Power Wins Appeal to Overturn Comet Trade Secret Ruling

05:10 AM EDT, 07/15/2026 (MT Newswires) -- XP Power (XPP.L) won an appeal against a 2022 judgment of a US District Court in the trade secret proceedings brought against it by Comet Technologies USA and affiliates. The critical power control technology company said Wednesday the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit has remanded the case for a new trial. The decision also vacated the previous award of $40 million in compensatory and punitive damages and $17 million in attorney fees, as well as the permanent injunction. XP Power added that it will continue to defend its position.
