04:20 AM EDT, 07/15/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Bayer (BAYN.F) said Wednesday it signed an exclusive licensing agreement with European seed company RAGT to support the simultaneous commercialization of hybrid wheat seeds in Europe and North America by the early 2030s. The German life sciences company expects the business to generate annual revenue of up to 1 billion euros by the mid-2040s. The agreement gives Bayer access to RAGT's wheat germplasm, complementing its breeding capabilities and existing North American program. Bayer plans to target winter wheat in Europe and both spring and winter varieties in North America. The company said the initial hybrid seeds could deliver yields 10% above conventional open-pollinated wheat.
