The central bank released a financial statistics report for the first half of 2026. In the first half of the year, cross-border RMB settlement amounts under current accounts were RMB 9.83 trillion, of which trade in goods, trade in services and other current accounts were RMB 7.71 trillion and RMB 2.12 trillion respectively; direct investment cross-border RMB settlement amounts were RMB 4.17 trillion, of which OFDI and RMB 2.67 trillion were respectively.
