According to Zhitong Finance App, Qiangtai Environmental Protection (01395) announced that on July 14, 2026 (after the trading period), the buyer PT Rimba Palma Sejahtera Lestari (an indirect non-wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company) entered into a sales agreement with the seller Hong Kong Xinxin Technology Co., Ltd. According to this, the buyer will purchase the equipment from the seller at a cost of US$3.512 million (equivalent to approximately HK$27.3936 million).

The device consists of 1,600 VolcMiner D1 (a dedicated integrated circuit machine) along with all attached components, accessories and documentation.

The Group operates a biomass power plant with existing power generation capacity and related infrastructure. The acquisition forms part of the Group's strategy to enhance the commercial value of its energy assets by expanding high-performance computing and digital infrastructure services.

Under long-term commercial arrangements, ASIC equipment will be deployed in the Group's data centers to provide customers with managed digital processing capabilities and related infrastructure services. By integrating power generation with data center operations, the Group expects to increase the utilization rate of its power generation assets, diversify its revenue sources, and derive greater value from electricity that may otherwise be delivered to the grid or underutilized.

The directors believe that the acquisition will enhance the Group's digital infrastructure capabilities, increase operational flexibility in allocating available power resources between different commercial applications, and enable the Group to benefit from growing demand for energy-intensive computing services.
