China Association of Automobile Manufacturers: Commercial vehicle sales in June were 409,000 units, up 10.7% year-on-year, with a cumulative total of 2.297,000 units in the first half of the year

The Zhitong Finance App learned that according to an analysis by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, in June 2026, the commercial vehicle market continued to improve. Among the main types of commercial vehicles, production and sales of buses and trucks increased to varying degrees compared with the previous month; compared with the same period last year, production and sales of buses and trucks both increased to varying degrees.

In June 2026, commercial vehicle production and sales completed 387,000 units and 409,000 units, respectively, up 3.3% and 8.5% month-on-month, and 9.5% and 10.7% year-on-year, respectively.

From January to June 2026, commercial vehicle production and sales reached 2.272 million units and 2.297 million units, respectively, up 8.2% and 8.3% year-on-year, respectively.

In June 2026, bus production and sales completed 58,000 units and 62,000 units respectively, up 11% and 16.4% from the previous month, and 16.5% and 16.6%, respectively. Among bus segments, compared with the previous month, production of medium-sized buses declined slightly and sales increased by double digits. Production and sales of the other two types of buses increased to varying degrees; compared with the same period last year, production of medium-sized buses fell by more than 10% and sales increased slightly, while production and sales of the other two types of buses increased to varying degrees.

From January to June 2026, bus production and sales completed 277,000 units and 278,000 units respectively, up 6% and 5%, respectively. Among the main types of buses, compared with the same period last year, production and sales of large buses declined slightly, while production and sales of the other two types of buses increased to varying degrees.

In June 2026, truck production and sales completed 329,000 units and 347,000 units, respectively, up 2% and 7.3% month-on-month, and 8.4% and 9.7% year-on-year, respectively. Among truck segments, compared with the previous month, production and sales of light trucks and minivans increased to varying degrees. Heavy truck production declined slightly, sales volume increased slightly, and medium truck production and sales declined to varying degrees. Compared with the same period last year, production and sales of minivans declined by double digits, and production and sales of the other three types of trucks all increased to varying degrees.

From January to June 2026, truck production and sales completed 1.95 million units and 2.09 million units, respectively, up 8.6% and 8.7% year-on-year, respectively. Among the main types of trucks, compared with the same period last year, production and sales of all four types of trucks increased to varying degrees.
