On July 4, Liu Liehong, Party Secretary and Director of the National Data Administration, was invited to attend the 2026 China Digital Economy Development and Governance Academic Annual Conference and give a presentation. The conference proposed that the reform of market-based allocation of data elements is a systematic and global project. It is hoped that experts and scholars will be based on academic frontiers, closely follow the frontline of reform, combine in-depth research with practice, continue to improve the theoretical system in the data field, solve deep problems in the industry, promote interdisciplinary integration and innovation, and provide intellectual support to accelerate the release of the value of data elements.
