I learned from the Yangtze River Maritime Administration that starting at 8 o'clock today, as the impact of typhoon “Bawei” on the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River basically came to an end, temporary traffic restrictions on the Ezhou in Hubei to Ma'anshan section of the Yangtze River Main Line were simultaneously lifted, and two-way navigation resumed in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. During the impact of the typhoon, more than 4,700 ships were guided by the Yangtze River Maritime Department to 82 anchorages, mooring and sheltered waters along the Yangtze River, nearly 700 small ships, unpowered ships, and long-term suspended vessels were guided to waters with good sheltering conditions such as tributaries and the Chahe River, and 830 ships were diverted to waters above Wuhan. There was not a single ship hazard or safety incident during the entire control period.
