AB Science to Discontinue Three Masitinib-related Clinical Studies

12:29 AM EDT, 07/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- AB Science (AB.PA) said July 10 that it will discontinue three clinical developments related to its drug under development masitinib. The Paris-listed pharmaceutical company said it will close, in line with regulations, the phase 2 trial in mast cell activation syndrome, the phase 2 trial in mastocytosis and the phase 3 trial in progressive forms of multiple sclerosis. The company noted that discontinuing the studies will allow it to focus on its AB8939 program for acute myeloid leukemia and the masitinib program for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
