The State General Office of Defense and the Ministry of Emergency Management continued to organize joint meetings with the China Meteorological Administration, the Ministry of Water Resources, the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Ministry of Housing, Urban-Rural Development, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Transport and other departments to investigate typhoon “Bawe” and the development trend of heavy rainfall, and deploy flood control and typhoon prevention work in key regions. On July 12, the State Defense General Administration initiated a four-level emergency response for the Flood Control General Administration of Shandong, adjusted the emergency response for flood control and typhoon control in Zhejiang, Fujian, Beijing, Tianjin, and Guangxi in due course, and dispatched three additional task forces to Hebei, Liaoning, and Jilin to assist and guide local flood control work.
