As the 500,000 kilowatt wind power project of Changtu Runhang in Tieling, Liaoning was connected to the grid on April 20, the installed capacity of new energy power generation in Liaoning Province exceeded 42 million kilowatts, surpassing the installed scale of thermal power and becoming the largest power source type in Liaoning. The green and low-carbon transformation of the economy and society in Liaoning is progressing at an accelerated pace, and the pace of construction of an integrated energy base for scenic nuclear storage with the characteristics of Liaoning continues to accelerate. By the end of the “14th Five-Year Plan”, the total installed power supply capacity in Liaoning Province had exceeded 90 million kilowatts, of which clean energy had reached the 50 million kilowatt mark, the ability of source network load storage collaboration and interaction had improved markedly, and the construction of a strong clean energy province had achieved phased results. Liaoning is rich in scenic resource endowments, and is one of the few provinces in the country that has both onshore scenery and offshore wind power resources. According to the Liaoning Provincial Development and Reform Commission, new energy development momentum in Liaoning is strong this year, and the number of new installed capacity will exceed 4 million kilowatts per year. It is expected that during the “15th Five-Year Plan” period, through a survey of new energy resources throughout the province and the scientific layout of new energy projects, the share of new energy supply will continue to increase, and the new energy industry in Liaoning Province will further achieve high-quality development.
