12:03 AM EST, 02/19/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Ericsson (ERIBR.HE, ERIC-A.ST, ERIC-B.ST) asked a US federal court in Delaware to declare that it did not infringe Acer's patents related to 4G and 5G wireless standards, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing an official complaint. The Swedish telecoms company filed the complaint on Tuesday, claiming technology group Acer breached its obligation to license standard essential patents on fair terms and had threatened it with infringement claims. In January, Acer sued Ericsson customers Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T in a Texas federal court, alleging their use of Ericsson's base stations infringed its patents. Ericsson said talks with Acer failed to resolve the dispute, Reuters added. Ericsson and Acer did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
