While Ukraine and Washington are intensively discussing a peace framework, Russia's latest attack on Ukraine's energy facilities has left hundreds of thousands of people trapped in severe cold and power outages. On Wednesday, Ukraine's fourth-largest city, Dnipro, and the surrounding area, as well as the neighboring Zaporozhye region, were attacked by large-scale Russian drones and missiles, according to local government sources. Ukraine's largest private energy company DTEK said the resulting power outage affected around 600,000 households in the Dnepropetrovsk region. Zaporozhye Governor Ivan Fedorov wrote that the region is facing a complete power outage.
