The new Western Land and Sea Corridor uses Chongqing as the operating organization center, and all western provinces, regions, and cities as key nodes. It uses railways, shipping, and highways to reach all parts of the world via coastal ports such as Guangxi and Yunnan to the south. Up to now, the transportation network of the new land and sea corridors in the west has been expanded to 584 ports in 127 countries and regions around the world. The types of goods have covered more than 1,300 kinds of products in dozens of categories, such as electronic products, vehicles, parts, machinery, and food. The relevant person in charge of the Port Logistics Office of the Chongqing Municipal Government said that since the release of the “Western Land and Sea New Corridor Master Plan”, the efficiency of channel operation guarantee has risen markedly, the level of connectivity has steadily increased, the new momentum of the hub economy has continued to grow, and comprehensive service functions have continued to be enhanced, helping more western inland products to cross mountains and seas and reach the world.
