The second-hand housing transaction area in 30 key cities was about 214 million square meters, a new high in the past 5 years. This was mainly driven by price for volume factors. The average price of second-hand housing transactions in 30 cities retreated by about 39% from the previous high position, and the median decline in housing prices in popular second-hand housing communities was about 26.07%. In terms of second-hand luxury homes, Shanghai sold 693 second-hand high-end residential units with a total price of 30 million yuan or more in 2025, accounting for 43% of the national market segment.
