11:08 AM EST, 01/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- BofA Global Research expects Airbus (AIR.PA) to set out a higher aircraft delivery target for full-year 2026 after the European planemaker reportedly surpassed its revised 2025 goal of 790 commercial aircraft deliveries. In a Tuesday note, the research firm cited a recent Bloomberg News report stating that the company delivered 793 aircraft in 2025. "After the year end software and panel issues we see this as a solid result. We continue to see the panel inspections as a minor issue, and we see Airbus guiding for 900 aircraft deliveries in FY26, +/-20 aircraft as per their usual range. In our view, 820 should be the starting point for the step up from 2025 into 2026," analysts wrote. "We expect the market to begin to get frustrated with the overly defensive balance sheet this year if the company doesn't further accelerate returns to shareholders." The projected EPS for 2025 edged up to 6.14 euros from 6.11 euros, while forecasts for 2026 and 2027 were trimmed. Meanwhile, analysts anticipate continued progress in Airbus' free cash flow, as well as the possibility of a 2 billion-euro buyback. The buy recommendation on the stock was maintained, with a price objective of 269 euros. Airbus is set to release its full-year 2025 results on Feb. 19, 2026.
