On the afternoon of January 6, Changhong, Sichuan held the 2026 AI Human Sensing New Product Launch Conference for Changhong Air Conditioning. At the conference, the new AI radar smart eye technology developed by Changhong Air Conditioning and the new series of new matrix products were unveiled, further strengthening the technological leap from “passive control” to “active intelligence” in air conditioning products. According to reports, as one of the founders of China's radar industry, Changhong has carried the national research and development mission of sensing and detection technology since 1958. In order to strengthen its leading edge in technology, Changhong Air Conditioning and Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics have further developed AI radar smart eye technology. The technology integrates AI artificial intelligence and user big data, and has been upgraded in four dimensions of “far, big, fast, and accurate”, which can achieve 6m ultra-long-distance detection, 120° ultra-wide area sensing, 1-second rapid response, and accuracy of over 97%. This also means that the air conditioner no longer needs to wait for the user's remote control instructions, but can actively capture the position, number, and even movements of people like a radar, truly achieving a leapfrog shift from “passive fuzzy control” to “active accurate sensing.”
