06:37 AM EST, 01/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Sampo's (SAMPO.HE) fourth-quarter results could reflect the impact of bad weather and softer trading conditions, but Berenberg is not concerned due to "healthy" pricing momentum in the Nordics and improving macro outlook. "The arrival of Storm Johannes in late December, combined with the previously flagged Storm Amy in October, point to higher-than-expected weather damage in the fourth quarter for Sampo and its Nordic peers Tryg and Gjensidige," analysts wrote. "For Q4, we therefore raise our weather loss estimates from 40 [million euros] to EUR60m, implying a negative c3.5% impact on margins." The Finnish insurer's topline growth may also benefit from potentially better UK market conditions in 2026, said the research firm, adding that the tailwind from the share price performance of affiliate bank NOBA will counter any near-term market weakness. The stock's buy rating and price target of 11.2 euros were reiterated.
