Cadence Minerals Bags Preliminary Environmental License for Brazilian Iron Project

03:54 AM EST, 01/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Cadence Minerals (KDNC.L) secured a preliminary environmental license for its Amapá iron ore mine in Brazil, according to a Tuesday filing. The license covers open-pit mining, mineral processing, waste rock handling, and associated tailings storage infrastructure at the project's existing mining concessions. The approval applies to the whole mine development plan and provides the regulatory foundation for permitting the Azteca processing plant. The mineral resource company's total investment in the project totaled $15.5 million as of the end of June 2025, reflecting a 35.7% equity stake in the project.
