The Kraft Group advanced its plans to build a 24,000-seat soccer stadium in Everett, MA, reaching a total of $138 million in community benefits agreements with the cities of Boston and Everett. Boston—whose Charlestown neighborhood borders the planned stadium site for the New England Revolution team—will receive $48 million in community benefits over 15 years, while Everett will see $90 million in benefits over a 20-year period.

The stadium is planned to rise on the site of a former power plant at 173 Alford St. in Everett and will be built with private funding. No timeline for construction has been set.

Under the agreements, the Kraft Group will undertake “significant environmental remediation and demolition of the long‑vacant power plant, invest in extensive traffic and transportation improvements, and deliver substantial community benefits, including millions of dollars towards infrastructure improvements,” according to a statement.
