Qualcomm officially unveiled the Snapdragon X2 Plus processor at CES 2026, which is an addition to the mid-range product line following the release of the flagship X2 Elite and X2 Elite Extreme in September last year. The new chip is available in 6- and 10-core versions, and uses third-generation Oryon CPU architecture, a Hexagon NPU with 80 tops computing power, and a new Adreno X2-45 GPU. This chip is positioned in the middle and high-end Windows notebook market, and aims to bring elite level AI acceleration capabilities, stronger graphics performance, and higher energy efficiency to mainstream users, while maintaining a more competitive price. A Qualcomm spokesperson said PCs equipped with both X2 Elite and X2 Plus are expected to be available around the end of the first quarter.
