Mexican President Simbaum reiterated on Monday that Mexico opposes Washington's extradition of the Venezuelan president and also opposes any form of interference in Mexico. Simbaum said, “We categorically refuse to interfere in other countries' internal affairs. Mexico is a sovereign country that is cooperating with the United States on drug trafficking and security issues. US President Trump hinted at the weekend that military action would be taken in Mexico to crack down on drug cartels.” Simbaum said, “It is necessary to reaffirm that in Mexico, sovereignty belongs to the people, and we are a free sovereign nation — cooperate, can; obey and intervene is not possible.”
