IDF: Recently, in accordance with the cease-fire agreement, the Israel Defense Forces attacked a Hamas terrorist who planned to launch an imminent terrorist attack on IDF forces fighting in the southern part of the Gaza Strip. The terrorist posed an imminent threat to the forces and was therefore targeted with precision. Prior to the attack, steps had been taken to mitigate harm to civilians, including the use of precision guided weapons, aerial reconnaissance and additional intelligence. According to the cease-fire agreement, IDF Southern Command forces will remain deployed and will continue to carry out operations to eliminate any imminent threat.
