Gresham House Energy Storage Fund to Acquire Additional UK Battery Projects

03:46 AM EST, 01/05/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Gresham House Energy Storage Fund (GRID.L) signed conditional agreements to acquire two additional pipeline projects in the UK. Under the sale and purchase agreements, the battery energy storage system investment fund will purchase the 240-megawatt Cockenzie project in East Lothian and the 57-MW Monet's Garden project in North Yorkshire, according to a Monday filing. The acquisition of Monet's Garden has completed, with ownership now transferred to Gresham House. Separately, the company completed the acquisition of the 100-MW Elland 2 project, the agreement for which was signed in November 2025. The Cockenzie acquisition remains subject to the fund receiving confirmation of an acceptable Gate 2 connection offer from the National Energy System Operator. The fund's manager is working to finalize project financing to start construction as soon as possible following receipt of Gate 2 offers from the National Energy System Operator.
