The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, together with the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Water Resources, the State Forestry and Grass Administration, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences jointly issued the “Yangtze River Dolphin Rescue Action Plan”. This is the first national key aquatic wildlife conservation action plan jointly issued and implemented by multiple departments, and is of great significance for the systematic protection of Yangtze River dolphins. The “Action Plan” proposes 10 major conservation and restoration actions, covering the entire life history of Yangtze River dolphins and the entire chain of conservation work. At the same time, we call on all parties to widely mobilize and motivate enterprises, social organizations and the public to participate in the protection of Yangtze River dolphins.
