On January 2, local time, Chairman of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Committee, Rashad Mohammed Alimi ordered the appointment of Hadramau Governor and Chairman of the provincial security committee Salim Hambashi to be responsible for overall leadership of the “Motherland Shield” forces within Hadramau province, and granted them relevant powers in military, security, and administrative matters to restore local security and order.
